The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games will remain one of the highlights of the fortnight. Nearly two months later, one of the biggest stars of these Games was kind enough to share his thoughts on the emotions that ran through him during this very special evening.

It’s an event that the whole world has been waiting for for many months and it’s an understatement to say that the organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have lived up to the hype. On July 26, artistic director Thomas Jolly and his teams were finally able to show the exceptional show they had imagined for the opening ceremony. With world stars like Lady Gaga and Céline Dion on the program, infinitely beautiful scenes and dozens of surprises, the show was there and the few controversies were quickly swept away.
While the artistic aspect of the ceremony is predominant, one of the highlights is obviously the parade of athletes from all the countries represented at these Games. While the French contingent, led by its two flag bearers, Mélina Robert-Michon and Florent Manaudou, made a strong impression, one of the highlights was the passage of the American delegation. This year, and 4 years before the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the United States entrusted the task of flag bearer to two icons in their respective sports, Coco Gauff, tennis champion, and LeBron James, living basketball legend. Located at the front of the boats parading along the Seine, the two athletes were able to enjoy the spectacle from the front row.
