Stephen King has revealed that Taylor Swift’s music makes him ‘happy’.

The acclaimed horror novelist has announced that he is a fan of the music megastar. “I love Taylor Swift. Her music makes me happy. End of story,” Stephen King wrote on X Sunday.

The 76-year-old writer’s message comes shortly after Donald Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform “I hate Taylor Swift!” in capital letters.

Last week, Taylor Swift threw her support behind Donald Trump’s political opponent, current Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, in an Instagram post. “I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” the star wrote. “I am voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to defend.”

Stephen King’s post was criticized by supporters of the Republican candidate, who expressed skepticism about the veracity of the author’s love for the singer. Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of the social network X, also got involved and addressed the author of Carrie. “What are your favorite TS songs?” he asked, arguing that Stephen King’s support was purely political.

“You are a feminized man. End of story,” wrote the unsuccessful Republican primary candidate, Valentina Gomez.

Swift’s message prompted more than 400,000 people to visit the voter registration website, which had previously received around 30,000 a day.

Meanwhile, fans were shocked when record producer Scooter Braun appeared to show his support for the singer. Lavender Haze, despite their complicated history. “Shake it off Donald. Kamala 2024,” he wrote on his stories Instagram on Sunday, appearing to reference the song Shake It Off by Taylor Swift (2014).

The feud between the producer and the artist began in 2019 when the music manager bought Taylor Swift’s former record label, Big Machine, along with the masters to her first six albums. The pop star has since embarked on a massive re-recording project and has so far released the Taylor’s Version from his albums Fearless, Red, Speak Now And 1989.
