‘Make the West great again,’ said Javier Milei during a plea against ‘wokism’ in Davos. The Argentine president, just returned from the inauguration of Donald Trump, mentioned Elon Musk, Giorgia Meloni and Viktor Orban as his allies in this fight.
The Argentine president said he wanted to make the Western world, consumed by ‘wokism’, ‘great again’. It is the ‘cancer’ of our time, he said before listing all its misdeeds. LGBT+ rights, abortion, gender equality, climate protection and migration policy have taken their place.
‘It’s time to rewrite the rules,’ he declared while citing his ‘allies’, Italian head of government Giorgia Meloni, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanayahu and billionaire Elon Musk .
‘But some European leaders want to silence those who fight against wokism,’ the Argentinian said. He accused them of keeping power in their hands, preventing the ultraliberalism he promotes.
-The Argentine president’s speech comes as the coming to power on Monday of American President Donald Trump has cast doubt on the future of Europe, described as losing momentum on Tuesday in Davos by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
