Every year, Stéphanie Arnaud-Granet, general director of services of the Community of Communes Lot and Tolzac, and Line Lalaurie, president, look for a welcoming place in the area to present to elected officials and all staff their best wishes for the year to come and take stock of the past year.
It was at Cabaret Frappé, in Verteuil-d'Agenais, stronghold of Jean-Claude Blay, mayor of the village and vice-president of the Community of Communes in charge of children and youth, that they presented their wishes Thursday January 16. Stéphanie Arnaud-Granet praised the constant commitment of elected officials who take “crucial decisions for the future of the territory and the improvement of the quality of life of residents” within the intercommunity. “The task is not easy as there are so many expectations and grievances,” she emphasized.
“This is the last full year of the mandate, the work accomplished together and the great collaboration that exists within the community of municipalities should arouse the desire for some to leave again in 2026 and motivate others to get involved. »
The arrival of a doctor
To her colleagues, she wanted to express her gratitude: “They implement decisions and projects on the ground that directly impact the lives of citizens. » Among the staff, everyone has varied skills, different experiences, equally diverse personalities, “it is this richness which makes the strength of the Community of communes. Everyone, in their function, in their role, contributes to the success of collective projects. Technical or administrative services are essential links in the organization of the community of municipalities. »
-2025 will see the operational phase of the implementation of Téomi (tax on household waste). On the roads, major projects to be finalized; to health, the arrival of a new doctor; early childhood lacks childcare places.
For Line Lalaurie, if the year 2024 was hectic at the international level, it was calmer in Lot and Tolzac. She hopes that the projects carried out by the Community of Communes and those of the communes will come to fruition.
