Wall Street ends without clear direction, ahead of US inflation figures

Washington (awp/afp) – The New York Stock Exchange closed mixed on Monday, awaiting data on American inflation which could provide an indication of the timetable for lowering rates from the American Central Bank (Fed) .

The Dow Jones gained 0.86%, the Nasdaq index fell 0.38% and the broader S&P 500 index advanced 0.16%.
