Electric car news
The French automobile market has just turned a historic page with the cessation of production of the Renault Zoé, a true pioneer of accessible electric mobility. Despite her official retirement, this trendy city dweller retains her title of best-selling electric car in history in France with 165,288 units passed since 2012.
The undisputed reign of the Zoé on the French market
The Zoé success story was built over more than a decade, with a remarkable peak in 2020 where 37,410 units found a buyer. This impressive performance can be explained by a particularly relevant positioning on the French market. Even in 2024, the year of its withdrawal, 1,691 copies have yet to be registered, proof of its continued appeal to consumers.

The Sochaux manufacturer has just adjusted its pricing strategy to maintain its competitiveness in the face of the arrival of the highly anticipated Renault 5 E-Tech.
The American offensive and the Chinese breakthrough
Tesla is shaking up established codes with remarkable commercial performances. The Model 3 combines 91,001 saleswhile the Model Y, marketed since 2020, already totals 79,102 units. The American brand particularly shone in 2024 with its SUV, recording 28,576 registrations.
The outsiders who are transforming the market

The MG4, representative of the Chinese automobile industry, has already established itself in the top 10 with 29,721 salesahead of established models like the Peugeot e-2008 and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
The year 2025 promises to be a major turning point for the French electricity market. The Renault 5 E-Tech and the Citroën ë-C3 arrive with solid arguments to shake up the established hierarchy. These new models, combining modern technologies and attractive prices, could quickly climb in this historic ranking, testifying to the dynamism of a rapidly changing sector.
