Francine Bourra, mayor of Lardin-Saint-Lazare, presented her wishes to her constituents on Tuesday January 7. She looked back at the year 2024, marked by the death of Thierry Patonnier, municipal councilor and co-president of the rugby club, and the difficult situation of the subcontractors of the Condat stationery factory.
“The responsibility of private companies remains essential in economic negotiations. Elected officials, although involved, cannot directly influence industrial and commercial decisions,” recalled the woman who is also vice-president in charge of the economy within the intercommunality.
Despite the difficulties, several projects have seen the light of day. The school complex has been completely renovated, a restaurant has opened its doors, and public lighting work is continuing. “2024 also means the implementation of a fire defense plan which will continue until 2029,” she added. The renovation of the entrance to the stadium is planned, and the enclosure will bear the name of Thierry Patonnier.
The Post Office will be renovated
New social housing is in preparation thanks to the acquisition of land. The investments don’t stop there. The Post Office building, an old building, is currently being renovated to improve its energy efficiency. Two additional housing units will be created at this location. The renovation of the village hall continues.
-Francine Bourra highlighted the associative dynamics and the numerous events which enrich the life of the commune. “These events, with their economic and social aspects, have strengthened the bond between residents and contributed to the vitality of local commerce. »
For this new year, caution remains in order. The municipality will continue its projects while being vigilant in the face of the economic and geopolitical situation. The emphasis will be placed on continued investments, but also on rigorous financial management. “2025 therefore promises to be a year of consolidation, where prudence will guide every decision,” concluded the elected official.
