The association for the Development of Overseas Culture based in Marseille celebrates its 34th anniversary

The association for the Development of Overseas Culture and its Artistic Expression in Metropolitan celebrated its 34th anniversary in December 2024. Several highlights were on the program: a visit to the premises (located at Merlan in the 14th arrondissement of ), workshops, meetings and a visit to United Associative Radio.

Adcomeam, which remains the largest West Indian association in Marseille, has set up communication between cultures through a space for meetings and exchanges for 34 years. The objective is to facilitate a better understanding of others. The founder and director, Patrick Jeannette remembers.

For its 34 years of existence, Adcomeam is based on values ​​of commitment to the service of the collective and the general interest. These enable individual development. Helping, creating links, promoting potential, expressions constitute the strength of the association.

Adcomeam is behind the EANIS project (the Digital Arts Space of Image and Sound) located at the Le Merlan Shopping Center in the 14th arrondissement of Marseille.

It is developing several actions aimed at highlighting the rich overseas heritage and diversity at the heart of the Marseille territory through training and events, relying on diversity stakeholders.

On March 2, 2008, Adcomeam launched “Radio Culture Outre-Mer” in order to promote the culture of the overseas islands and elsewhere. In 2017, this radio was renamed UNITED RADIObroadening the audience, but also uniting listeners around culturelhas diversity and the sunny music.

This action is a need to fight against all forms of discrimination. For 2025, the association intends to continue this work by going further by completing the television set. For this achievement, director Patrick Jeannette thanks his numerous institutional and private partners.
