CES 2025: HONDA presents 0 Series Saloon and SUV prototypes

HONDA 0 Series Saloon: the flagship model

A development of the concept model presented last year at CES 2024, the prototype of the HONDA 0 Series Saloon was designed for a market launch in 2026. This prototype retains the design of the concept model while sporting a stylish sporty and low height that distinguish the Saloon from other electric vehicles, as well as a more spacious interior than the exterior dimensions suggest.

Flagship model of the HONDA 0 Series, the Saloon will be based on the new architecture dedicated to electric vehicles and will be equipped with numerous new generation technologies representative of the “elegance, lightness and intelligence” development approach.

At CES 2025, the brand plans to present some of the technologies and functions of the Saloon Series 0 corresponding to the “intelligence” aspect of the development approach. This includes the particularly reliable Level 3 automated driving technology, which HONDA has put into practice for the first time in the world, as well as “ultra-personal optimization”, which will offer a tailor-made mobility experience for each user , in association with ASIMO OS.

The production version of the HONDA 0 Series Saloon is expected to be launched first in the North American market in 2026, followed by global markets including Japan and Europe.

HONDA 0 Series SUV: concentrate of technologies

Based on the Space-Hub conceptual model unveiled at CES 2024, highlighting the new principle of “space” offered to occupants by electric vehicles that HONDA will apply to its future electric models, the brand has now presented the prototype of a mid-size electric SUV, which will be the first model in the HONDA 0 Series.

Applying the “elegance, lightness and intelligence” approach to this SUV has resulted in an expansion of interior space, as well as the design of a spacious cabin offering remarkably clear, all-round visibility, coupled with great flexibility.

In addition to offering a wide range of next-generation technologies, the HONDA 0 Series SUV will offer high-precision attitude estimation and stabilization control. These functions are based on 3D gyroscopic sensors, a technology created by the brand through the development of its original robotic technologies in order to activate the dynamic functionalities of the vehicle on various types of road surfaces at the request of the driver.

ASIMO OS: the intelligent operating system

Honda 0 Series models will be equipped with ASIMO OS, an original vehicle operating system developed by the brand, constituting the core technology corresponding to the “intelligence” aspect of the approach to development for the entire range of electric vehicles.

The ASIMO OS software platform will apply integrated electronic control unit (ECU) control to vehicle systems such as Automated Driving/Advanced Driver Assistance System (AD/ADAS) and In-Vehicle Infotainment System (IVI). ).

The ASIMO OS was developed by HONDA

The features and services will be continuously developed according to the preferences and needs of each user thanks to constant automatic updates (OTA) of the on-board software after the purchase of the vehicle.

These features and services subject to constant updates include those highlighting the principle of “space” offered by electric vehicles and digital UX technology, which ensures an enjoyable mobility experience. They also include HONDA’s own integrated control of dynamic features, giving the driver real driving pleasure and the feeling of being one with their vehicle.
