They are perfect when they are browned, roasted, mashed, chips, fries… Potatoes represent a large part of the diet of many French people.
Be careful, however, with those you have purchased recently. A tray of potatoes is recalled everywhere in France. The cause: a labeling error.
The product in detail
In detail, Rappel-Conso, which relays this alert, mentions new potatoes roasted with garlic.
Without any apparent brand, but distributed by JECA, the 600 g trays have been sold since the beginning of December 2024 in potentially all Carrefour, Intermarché and other U stores in France.
To recognize the product, you must refer to the barcode, 3271620100013. It is batch M241100951 which is affected by the recall. The expiry date indicated is 01/05/2025.
Labeling error
This is also an error. It should instead read “05/01/2025”. This is the reason for this alert. Because consuming these potatoes after the real deadline means exposing yourself to food poisoning.
Rappel-Conso therefore recommends no longer consuming the product, or even destroying it. A refund procedure is underway. It must end on January 20, 2025. More information on 03 87 87 65 10.
