What changes in 2025 for renovation assistance

MaPrimeRénov will evolve this year thanks to two texts adopted narrowly before the censorship of the Barnier government. If on the one hand, certain amounts have been reduced, on the other, the relaxations have been extended and ceilings have been raised. Here is an update on the changes to this renovation aid in 2025.

Among the good news linked to this new version, we first find an increasing budget. While it was to be renewed on the basis of the 2024 budget due to the motion of censure, it was ultimately increased by 600,000 euros for 2025, reports SeLoger. Enough to facilitate energy renovations, especially since certain measures which were to end in December have been extended until December 31, 2025.

Single-action work still accepted

This is the case for several measures taken to relaunch requests after the choices made in 2024 to favor large-scale renovations (supported route). Thus, until December 31, it will still be possible to obtain assistance for single-step work (route by step) without having to install a carbon-free heating or domestic hot water system at the same time.

Until this date, the gesture route is also accessible to individual houses classified F or G in the DPE. Moreover, before 2026, there will be no need to provide an energy performance diagnosis to benefit from the aid. The Official Public Finance Bulletin adds that it will now be possible to receive MaPrimeRénov for work induced by energy renovation, such as drilling and earthworks.

Several amounts down

On the bad news side, we find various declines. Households with higher incomes (pink profile) have, for example, access to less assistance within the framework of the supported pathway. For a gain of two DPE classes, we go from 30% to 10% and from 35% to 15% for a gain of three places. And for a jump of four classes or more, the aid drops from 35% to 20%. On the other side of the spectrum, the cash advance to very modest households goes from 70% to 50% for single-action work.

Latest reduction: aid for the installation of boilers and wood stoves is now 30% lower on average. A way of no longer subsidizing energy that is less and less perceived as ecological, because it emits CO2, as Franceinfo explains. Moreover, MaPrimeRénov Copropriété no longer finances gas boiler installation projects.

Finally, we note two timid increases during 2025. The capping rates used to calculate the aid ceiling will be increased from 60% to 80% for intermediate incomes (purple profile) and from 40 to 50% for higher incomes. (pink profile).
