T-Man Holding inaugurates a new Alsa production line

After consolidating its position as a world leader in green tea packaging and strengthening its expertise in sugar processing, the Matheï industrial complex, supported by T-Man Holding, reaches a new milestone with the inauguration of a production line dedicated to Alsa products.

The result of a strategic partnership with the German agri-food giant Dr. Oetker, owner of the Alsa brand, this extension illustrates the vision of T-Man Holding for sustained integration towards the industrial upstream and an active contribution in favor of Morocco’s food sovereignty.

The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Commerce, as well as representatives of the two groups.

An industrial complex serving agri-food integration

Created in 2005, the Matheï complex quickly established itself as a major player in the agri-food sector. Today it brings together three production units:

  • A green tea blending and packaging unit, the historic heart of the Group, with an annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes, or around a third of national consumption.
  • A sugar processing unit, exclusively dedicated to export, with a production capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year.
  • A new Alsa production unit, which fits perfectly into the continuity of the site’s other activities, with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year.

Known for generations for its yeasts, preparation aids and cake mixes, the Alsa brand occupies a special place in Moroccan homes. Local production of this new agri-food category makes it possible to raise the industrial infrastructure of the Matheï complex to the highest standards of international quality.

The total investments made in this industrial site since its creation amount to more than 300 million dirhams, allowing the creation of 400 direct jobs and 300 indirect jobs.

Thanks to its industrial infrastructure, the Matheï complex plays a central role in the development of the national agri-food sector by reducing dependence on imports and meeting the expectations of Moroccan consumers.

For his part, Mr. Georg Heerdegen Parsbo, member of the International Executive Board of Dr. Oetker, declared: “Alsa is an iconic brand that has accompanied families in their moments of sharing for generations.
