The monthly decrease in l’IPC is attributable to a 0.4% decrease in the food products indexwhile non-food products maintained stable prices.

Among food products, the largest monthly declines concerned fruits (-5.3%), vegetables (-1.1%), the Pisces et seafood (-0.8%) and refreshing drinks, mineral waters and juices (-0.6%). On the other hand, certain categories saw their prices increase, notably oils and fats (+1,3%), the milk, cheese and eggs (+1.1%) and hot drinks like the coffee, tea and cocoa (+0,5%).

As for non-food products, only the fuel category recorded a significant drop of 1.5%.

By city, the most marked declines were noted in Al-Hoceima (-0,9%), Safi (-0,8%), Beni-Mellal and Errachidia (-0.7%), as well as Tetouan, Tanger et Settat (-0.6%). In certain cities, the index increased slightly, notably in Laâyoune and Dakhla (+0.5%), as well as in Agadir and Fez (+0.3%).

Over the course of a year, inflation starts to rise again. It stood at 0.8% in November 2024, after 0.7% recorded in October. This increase is due to a 0.8% increase in the prices of food products and 0.7% of non-food products. Among the latter, the variations are marked: a drop of 3.8% was observed for the costs of transportwhile the prices in the category “Housing, water, gas, electricity and other fuels” increased by 3.6%.
