After six years at the head of the cooperative establishment, Heinz Huber will leave Raiffeisen at the end of the year. The 60-year-old from Zurich will join the Graubünden Cantonal Bank as president from July 2025, “thus moving to the level of strategic management,” Raiffeisen announced in a press release on Wednesday.

The succession process has already started. Christian Poerschke, current head of the Finance & Services department and vice-president of management, will take over as interim head of the number two Swiss bank since the collapse of Credit Suisse. Heinz Huber “contributed greatly to expanding the group’s banking activity and strengthening the development of Raiffeisen Switzerland,” writes the establishment. Over the past six years, Raiffeisen has “expanded its operations with customers in all areas of activity and recorded solid financial results”, underlines the St. Gallen bank.
