Bontaz Center Maroc is strengthening its presence in the Kingdom and continues to stand out through the competence of its operators and the quality of its products.
It is at the group’s factory in Jorf Lasfar in El Jadida that Bontaz Center Maroc has set its sights to inaugurate on Wednesday December 11, 2024 a new manufacturing line for components intended for electric vehicles. The structure will have to employ more than 150 workers from the region in order to support the evolution of the group and the expansion of its activities.
This project is part of the group’s strategy, which aims to develop innovative solutions in favor of sustainable mobility. This investment represents a key step in the development of Bontaz Morocco and illustrates its active contribution to local economic dynamics.
During this inauguration, the group also celebrated obtaining Jaguar Land Rover Quality (JLRQ) certification. A prestigious recognition that positions Bontaz Morocco among the top 10% automotive suppliers in the world, meeting the demanding standards of Jaguar Land Rover’s quality management system. This award refers to the excellence of Moroccan products and operators, engineers and technicians capable of challenging global structures with an approach that is part of sustainability and decarbonization.
Bontaz Maroc is the result of a solid Franco-Moroccan partnership which symbolizes the shared desire to promote industrial and technological development.
The group has 1,700 employees in Morocco, including 1,200 women operators/workers. 1 in 2 cars in the world contains a Bontaz product, supplying 70% of the world’s automobile manufacturers. The Bontaz Maroc factory is the largest in the group and represents around 30% of its turnover. An exponential dynamic.
As part of its reorganization policy, the group has mobilized an investment and diversification plan of 200 million euros, with a view to meeting the challenges of decarbonization in its traditional markets (automobile, truck and off-road) , by the production of innovative solutions for electricity and hydrogen and by positioning in the light mobility segment, without forgetting the launch of hydraulic brakes for electrically assisted bicycles in 2023.
The group’s activity is based on the manufacturing and assembly of parts and subassemblies of the mechanical and electrical cooling and braking system for the automotive industry.
