BANK OF AFRICA (BOA) was honored at the Global Frontier Brand Awards 2024, receiving two prestigious distinctions: “Excellence in Strategic Sustainability Leadership – Africa, 2024” and “Outstanding Sustainability Leader in Financial Services – Morocco, 2024”. These awards highlight BOA’s pioneering role in promoting sustainability within the financial sector.

Awarded after a rigorous evaluation process, these distinctions highlight the bank’s constant commitment to sustainable development and its ability to lead strategic initiatives with both a lasting environmental and social impact.

For almost two decades, under the presidency of Othman Benjelloun, BANK OF AFRICA has established itself as a reference in the financing and implementation of impact initiatives. In 2000, the Group was the first African signatory to the United Nations Environment Program Financial Initiative (UNEP FI), marking a major step in its commitment to sustainable finance.

Since 2015, BOA has developed an innovative range of financial products aimed at supporting its clients in crucial areas such as energy efficiency, water resources management and the circular economy. At the same time, the bank has integrated environmental, social and climate risks into the management of its portfolio, thus strengthening its resilience and positive impact.

Furthermore, the group also stands out thanks to the actions of the BMCE Bank Foundation for education and the environment, as well as obtaining ISO certifications for its environmental and energy management system.
