Swiss industrial robot specialist Anybotics finalizes a $60 million fundraising, bringing its Series B total to $110 million. Andrea Corda joins the company as CTO to accelerate its development.

Swiss robot maker Anybotics announces it has raised an additional $60 million, bringing its Series B funding round to $110 million. This financing follows a previous fundraising of $50 million in spring 2023.

Founded in 2016 as a spin-off from the ETHZ (an innovative robot incubator), Anybotics specializes in the development of robust quadruped models equipped with artificial intelligence. These machines, designed for demanding industrial environments, are mainly used for inspection missions, particularly on oil platforms and in data centers. The company’s prestigious clients include BP, Petronas, Shell and Siemens Energy.

To date, some 200 ANYmal robots have been deployed around the world, according to the start-up. Who adds that this model is the only quadruped robot designed from the start for industrial inspection in difficult environments, because it is fully protected against infiltration.

To support its development, Anybotics recently recruited Andrea Corda as Chief Technology Officer. With over 20 years of experience in complex mechatronic systems and large-scale development, notably at Electrolux, Andrea Corda is responsible for overseeing the creation of the startup’s next generation of robots, based on intelligence architectures. advanced artificial intelligence.
