The problems are starting again for Loïc Lapoussin at the Union. But he could return to the core more quickly than at the start of the season.
We thought Loïc Lapoussin was finally launched at Union Saint-Gilloise this season. Left out of the A core until the end of October, the Malagasy international seemed to have signed a sort of reconciliation of reason by taking it upon himself and bringing all his creativity to the left side.
But yesterday he jumped from the eleven of Sébastien Pocognoli. He wasn't on the bench either. No question of an injury: the Unionist coach did not hide at a press conference that it was a new sanction.
Pocognoli cannot accept everything
“The foundations of our team are collective spirit and cohesion. We prepare a match in this spirit and we had to make a choice in relation to a code of conduct to respect” explains Poco.
The Saint-Gillois T1 has not publicly revealed the precise reason for the sidelining of his player but seems to have it wrong after having also put water in his wine to reinstate him in the team.
Six months before the end of Lapoussin's contract, the episode is in any case rather bad. Will he return to the group for the last match of the year at Ghent ? “We’ll see. But we’re still a little disappointed,” concludes Pocognoli.
