The event occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Forsyth Street, near the intersection with Tercentenaire Boulevard. Maxime Delisle allegedly fired after witnessing noise and argument caused by the operation. He was possibly intoxicated.
According to SPVM spokesperson Manuel Couture, the noise caused by the noise during the operation was the cause of the event.
“The conflict has degenerated,” he added.
Delisle allegedly went to get a hunting weapon from his home and decided to fire at least one shot.
There were no injuries, however, a 19-year-old young man was treated for nervous shock.
The shooter is accused of discharging a firearm towards individuals and assault, according to the report obtained by Noovo Info from the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP). Delisle appeared at the Montreal courthouse on Wednesday afternoon.
Delisle could receive a maximum of 14 years in prison for discharging the firearm, it is reported. The DPCP opposes the release of Maxime Delisle, who will remain behind bars for the remainder of the legal proceedings.
