The Loto-Québec Charity Lottery has two winners on the North Shore. Francine Rioux from Baie-Comeau is giving back to the Vallée des reedeaux palliative care home and Kevin Roy from Sept-Îles has chosen to support the SPCA Côte-Nord.
The two North Coast residents are among the 50 winners of the fourth edition of the lotto-o-suivant. The two lucky winners won $10,000 each on November 12. In addition to winning this prize, they were able to choose a non-profit organization that is close to their heart, to which an amount of $10,000 will also be donated in the coming weeks.
Kevin Roy is sensitive to the cause of animals, hence his choice to donate 10,000 to the SPCA. His ticket was purchased in Sept-Îles. For her part, Francine Rioux opted for an organization that is close to her heart since some of her loved ones received care there in the Reed Valley of Baie-Comeau. Mme Rioux bought his ticket at Chute-aux-Outardes.
“More than two million dollars will have been donated to Quebec organizations chosen by the winners of the Loto-o-suivant charitable lottery since its launch in 2021. Year after year, these winners have affirmed their pride in being able to give back to a cause that is dear to them. Loto-Québec is equally proud to see so many communities benefit from these donations,” underlines Executive Vice-President and Head of Lottery Operations at Loto-Québec Isabelle Jean.
