Be careful if you have recently bought something to make homemade burgers. Several batches of burger buns as well as a batch of bagel buns were recalled this Monday. The cause: a packaging problem which can cause mold well before the expiration date, reports RMC Conso.
All the products concerned were marketed from November 6 by the BPA brand in Carrefour, Intermarché, Leclerc, Métro and Système U stores, particularly in the Greater West. These are “flour” burger buns, brioche with seeds or without seeds, with paprika and seeds, Nordic with seeds, organic with seeds. Seed bagel breads are also recalled.

A possible refund
All products were packaged in bags of 3 units with a use-by date of November 21 or December 4, 5 or 12. All have a packaging defect which can “result in a risk of mold appearing before the minimum durability date”.
Customers are therefore invited to destroy these breads or return them to the store for a refund because their consumption presents a health hazard. The recall procedure will end on January 26, 2025. Until then, BPA brand customer service is available at 02 41 74 14 44.
