This signing took place between Hicham EL Habti, President of UM6P and Mr. Hicham Iraqi Houssaini, General Manager of SAP Francophone Africa during the global event GITEX Africa which was held in Marrakech from May 29 to 31, 2024.
This initiative is in line with the sovereign cloud project announced by UM6P and SAP in June 2023, which revealed the launch of the first cloud service in Morocco with Atlas Cloud Services (a subsidiary of UM6P), hosting the “RISE with SAP” offer. This collaboration will enable the two entities to accelerate their actions in the areas of innovation as well as sovereignty and enhanced data protection, in order to support Moroccan and African companies in more than 25 sectors of activity.
This collaboration will provide businesses across our continent with the opportunity to benefit from SAP cloud solutions technology on a global scale, while respecting local legal and regulatory compliance. This initiative will also enable Morocco to accelerate its digital transformation in the region, strengthen its position in the global digital economy, and create high-value jobs for all customers and partners.
This solution will support UM6P in its digital transformation, by strengthening its operational efficiency, enabling it to: renew its internal processes, optimize resource management, improve the user experience across all of its operations and benefit from the latest technological innovations from SAP in a sovereign cloud.

As a reminder, in June 2023, SAP and ATLAS CLOUD SERVICES (ACS) announced the launch of the first cloud service in Morocco hosting the “Rise with SAP ». The implementation of a cloud offering of the SAP ERP in Atlas Cloud Services servers, thus strengthening Morocco’s strategy by accelerating innovation and promoting the adoption of the cloud. Atlas Cloud Services has a Data Center that meets international standards, certified Tier III and Tier IV by the Uptime Institute, and offers Cloud services based on the latest global technologies. The digital infrastructure deployed by UM6P through ACS gives Moroccan public and private institutions the opportunity to benefit from high-level solutions while ensuring digital sovereignty in the Kingdom.
