Carrefour applesauce recalled throughout France, due to the presence of “pieces of blue plastic”

The presence of plastic pieces could lead to “injuries and other adverse effects.” Consumers are therefore asked to destroy the product or return it to the store.

Be careful if you have Carrefour Classic applesauce in your fridge, without added additives, because the packs of 16 pots sold between October 14 and November 22, 2024 throughout (product reference: EMB 26006) are potentially dangerous. The distributor brand spotted the “presence of very small pieces of blue plastic, more or less perceptible, making the products unfit for consumption”. Due “the risk of injury or adverse effects”following the ingestion of these compotes, it is recommended that people who have this product do not consume them. To obtain a refund, a contact number has been set up (+33805908070), and consumers are advised to return the product to the point of sale, or simply to produce it. If the product is still on the shelves, the dangerous product alert site, RappelConso, asks consumers to make a report on their SignalConso platform.
