Check your emails, your B&You package may be improving without a price increase

Bouygues Telecom has prepared a nice surprise for some B&You subscribers. The data allowance of their plan has increased significantly and they now have access to 5G, whereas they were still limited to 4G. All this, without a price increase, for once.

When Bouygues Telecom customers receive an email from their operator, they can fear the worst, as the operator has become accustomed to unilaterally increasing the price of its packages. For once, this is good news that is shared with some consumers with a B&You mobile subscription.

“We have some great news”begins the message sent by Bouygues Telecom. “Since 02/07/2024, your B&You package for the **** line includes 200 GB/month of 5G compatible internet for the same price”the letter continues. The roaming mobile data envelope in Europe rises to 40 GB.

More data and a switch to 5G

This is a very nice improvement, since the user who received this email was previously benefiting from 60 GB of mobile data, only in 4G. An offer that is no longer marketed by Bouygues Telecom via B&You, which offers a small 4G package at 20 GB or immediately after a 5G subscription at 100 GB.

There is no action to take to benefit from this advantage, which is automatically activated. You may have already noticed the 5G logo displayed on your smartphone, if it is compatible. Bouygues Telecom justifies this upgrade as a way of thanking the customer for their trust.

In any case, we hope that this is not a maneuver by the operator to allow itself to increase the price of these improved packages in the near future. Call us pessimistic, but Bouygues Telecom and its competitors are not necessarily known for their generosity. Currently, B&You offers low-cost 5G offers with a large amount of data to new customers. This decision can also be a way of not harming old subscribers too much.
