The Lagardère group announces the return of Arnaud Lagardère at its head after a court decision in his favor

He is back in charge. The Lagardère group announced on Friday, June 28, that Arnaud Lagardère was taking over the leadership of the group in his name after the partial lifting of the management ban that had been imposed on him in April. This new court decision authorizes him to “manage Lagardère SA”a judicial source confirmed to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

The “The Board of Directors of Lagardère SA, meeting today, unanimously appointed Mr. Arnaud Lagardère as CEO”the group said in a statement. The leader, now back, thanked them for their ” trust “ and their ” support “ the directors and shareholders of the group, “and more particularly the first of them, the Bolloré family”.

Mr. Lagardère had relinquished his executive mandates on April 30, including that of CEO of his group, after being indicted as part of investigations into the financing of personal expenses by his companies. His lawyers, Mr.e Sébastien Schapira and Me Dimitri Grémont, appealed this court decision, which allowed him to obtain “the partial lifting of the management ban measure that had been issued against him”specified Arnaud Lagardère in the press release.
