This Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the Conso Rappel site warns of Christmas chocolates sold throughout France, in numerous brands including Auchan, Intermarché, Carrefour. We tell you everything.
Attention ! This Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the government site Rappel Conso warns of a new product recall campaign. Recently, this chicken sold throughout France was withdrawn from sale due to a risk of Salmonellosis. The same goes for these milks sold at Carrefour which can cause stomach aches, or these shrimps contaminated by bacteria.
But this time, the product recall is not linked to bacterial contamination but rather to a labeling error. And this product recall concerns an Advent calendar, a tradition anchored in many homes in the run-up to Christmas. And as delicious as these Christmas chocolates are, unfortunately they should no longer be consumed, as advised by the government website. So if you've recently bought Christmas chocolates, pay close attention.

Indeed, the latest recall concerns a product that is particularly popular as the end-of-year holidays approach: the Celebrations Advent calendarmarketed by Mars Wrigley Confectionery France. Intended to bring a touch of daily magic until Christmas, this product, sold since September 12, 2024, is unfortunately in default with French regulations.
This calendar, distributed in many brands including Auchan, Intermarché, Carrefour, Coop U, Cora, Monoprix, Schiever, Stokomani and Migros. In Overseas, this Advent calendar was distributed to: Nouvelle Sopri, Scagex, Morgan Vernex, Lim How Brothers et Bamyrag. It contains popular sweets like Mars, Snickers or Bounty. However, the mandatory information on allergens (barley, eggs, milk, peanuts, soy, wheat) does not appear in French on the packaging. This exposes consumers, particularly children, to significant allergic risks.
