While Donald Trump was giving a press conference on Friday in Rancho Palos Verdes, near Los Angeles (California), two supporters of the Republican candidate, Jay Song and Mike (he refused to give his name to AFP), found themselves by chance on a field overlooking the golf course where Donald Trump was speaking.

Usually, the former president’s supporters are recognized by their red “Make America Great Again” hats. But in Rancho Palos Verdes, an upscale suburb of the City of Angels, it’s Tesla’s Cybertruck that has become a political symbol. This is even more true since Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla and the social network X, made public his support for Donald Trump this summer.

“Very happy” with the agreement between Trump and Musk

Barely out of his vehicle, Mike exclaims jokingly: “Oh! And I thought I was going to be a little original”, before adding enthusiastically: “It’s great, I love it! So cool!” The two men then began a conversation around their unconditional support for the former president and their shared taste for Teslas, which they consider to be “awesome cars”.
