An Italian passport “factory” worries the UDC
Italy experienced massive emigration to Brazil between the end of the 19the and the beginning of the 20th centurye century. We are talking about 1.37 million people. Their descendants are therefore numerous. Hence the appetite of certain companies, which act as intermediaries in naturalization procedures. Except that some are suspected of violating the law, and in Italy, the practice has made headlines in recent years. In Veneto, legal proceedings are underway against ten people, including three police officers. They allegedly helped 157 Brazilians obtain an Italian passport for 3,000 euros, by producing false information.
