The German manufacturer is completing the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 range with a special Manufaktur Golden Coast series, limited to 100 examples.
Launched in 2022, the seventh generation of the Mercedes SL offers a new special series, called Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast.
A new limited edition of the AMG SL 63
After the version stamped “Big Sur”, unveiled last year as part of Pebble Beach Automotive Week and which marked the launch of its Manufacturing program on the Mercedes-AMG SL in the United States, the German manufacturer unveils the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast, a new special series limited exclusively to 100 copieswhich highlights its advanced customization program.
The Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast is based on the SL 63 version, equipped with 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine developing 585 horsepower and coupled with the fully variable 4Matic+ all-wheel drive. The Stuttgart firm claims fuel consumption of 13.0-13.4 l/100 km, as well as combined CO2 emissions of 296-306 g/km, according to the WLTP combined cycle.
The model stands out, inside and out, for its teinte dorée Kalahari Gold Magno Manufacturing, which can be found both on the bodywork and on the contrasting inserts in the passenger compartment. The look of the model is also highlighted by 21-inch matte black AMG forged wheels, with a 10-double-spoke design, which feature contrasting gold Kalahari Gold Magno Manufaktur edging, matching the bodywork. The brake calipers are painted black, with white AMG logos.
Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast: full of equipment
As standard, we find the AMG Exterior Night Pack, the AMG Exterior Night Pack II and the AMG Aerodynamics Pack. The model is distinguished by details painted in glossy black, which can be found on the front bumper, the exterior mirror shells, the door sill trims, as well as the rear skirt inserts. The dual exhaust outlets, the grille fins, the model badge as well as the Mercedes star at the rear are all painted in black chrome. The Aerodynamics Pack is a body kit that includes additional elements painted in gloss black on the wheel arches, the front apron air intakes, the side air scoops, as well as the rear diffuser.
Inside, we find standard AMG Performance seats covered in black Nappa leather, and equipped with diamond quilting and gold stitching, without forgetting the air conditioning function. The AMG Performance steering wheel is also covered in Nappa leather with gold stitching.
Other elements are specific to this special version of the SL, such as the high-pile floor mats decorated with the AMG logo, black leather edging and gold stitching. The decorative element of the front seat backs is also painted gold, while we find a badge exclusif “Manufaktur Golden Coast” on the central console.
This special Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast series will be only available on the American marketand Mercedes has not communicated a price for it.
