Even though Tesla boss Elon Musk will play a key role in his Administration, President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly set to eliminate Biden’s US$7,500 federal rebate for electric vehicle purchases, according to Reuters.

Two sources spoke to the agency on condition of anonymity to say that representatives of the Tesla manufacturer agreed with the measure.

Earlier this year, Elon Musk said that ending this subsidy would hurt Tesla a little, but would be even more damaging to its American competitors, according to Reuters.
