Bpifrance launches the Maghreb Fund to support the internationalization of French companies in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia

In partnership with the interministerial delegation to the Mediterranean, Bpifrance is launching the “Maghreb Fund” to strengthen the internationalization of French companies towards Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. This system was officially launched on June 12, 2024 by the President of the Republic as part of the first edition of the Ancrages Forum, dedicated to entrepreneurship and creation between the territories of France and the African continent. Operated by Bpifrance, the Maghreb Fund will deploy different investment, financing, guarantee and support solutions up to €100 million between 2024 and 2027, particularly in the sectors of industry, energy, agriculture and pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with partners from the Maghreb.

Initially announced by the President of the Republic on June 27, 2023 during his trip to Marseille, the Maghreb Fund offers an integrated 360° course to support the projects of French startups, SMEs and ETIs including:

  • A wide range of financing solutions and guarantees from the Bpifrance export continuum
  • Support for investment as part of development projects for French companies in the Maghreb (creation of subsidiary, external growth, joint venture, etc.)
  • Tailor-made support to connect and facilitate the completion of commercial contracts and territorial anchoring, with the support of international ecosystems including Team France Export (Business France, CCI, etc.)

Carried out in collaboration with Maghreb partners, this system will highlight the ecosystems of both shores and meet the needs of French companies wishing to set up or consolidate their projects in the Maghreb.

For more information on the Maghreb Fund, please contact the export teams in charge of its coordination at the generic address [email protected] or consult www.bpifrance.fr/fonds-maghreb
