Charentais melon sold at the wholesaler Metro is recalled due to exceeding the maximum authorized limit for pesticide residues. Consumption of these products is strongly discouraged.

Melon that should definitely not be consumed any more. The chain of stores dedicated to culinary professionals Metro announces the voluntary recall of a batch of Charentais melon sold in all its points of sale. According to the government website Rappel Conso, these melons exceed the maximum limit of pesticide residues.

Sold for ten days

To identify the lot recalled by Metro, it is essential to look for several references. Starting with the batch number, 144, or even the GTIN (an international and unique identification code) 3439496513829.

If these melons were sold individually, Métro customers can still refer to the marketing date, between May 25 and June 4, 2024. And this, in all of the wholesaler’s stores specializing in food.

Do not consume this product anymore

It is therefore an exceeding of the maximum pesticide residue limit which is the cause of this recall. It is recommended that you no longer consume this product and return it to the point of purchase for a refund.
