First step: the appointment of Hicham Rahil, a veteran of ONDA with twenty years of experience, as director. A doctor in computer science and applied mathematics, Rahil has worked at Mohammed V and Nador Al Aroui airports.

ONDA has also invested in a brand new baggage handling system in order to manage the increase in air traffic and comply with international safety standards. A new 3,000 m² area dedicated to transit flights has been created, equipped with cutting-edge technologies, including explosive detectors and X-ray scanners. This system can process 1,500 bags per hour, improving punctuality flights.

Arriving passengers will also benefit from an improved baggage delivery system, with ten conveyor belts, seven of which are brand new. The objective? Reduce waiting times and make traffic flow more smoothly. A complete renovation of the baggage claim room is also planned to provide a more comfortable and modern space for travelers.

ONDA wishes to make Mohammed V airport a leading airport platform. These changes aim to improve the customer experience, simplify circuits and reduce waiting times, in anticipation of the 2030 World Cup organized jointly by Morocco, Spain and Portugal.
