The Ricardo boutique reopens after its move

The trade in kitchen accessories and gourmet products had occupied a large space inside the Galeries gourmandes for almost six years. Until May 2024, it also included a café-restaurant and a counter. The latter were then closed permanently due to the failure of the food market in the Quebec shopping center.

“In the spring, the management of the Galeries de la Capitale told us about the plan they had for the space formerly occupied by the Galeries gourmandes. They informed us that they were going to take over the entire space that we occupied with the shop, the café and the counter. We therefore collaborated with them to find a new space that would allow us to continue our activities in Quebec City,” says Nathalie Carbonneau, vice-president of marketing and communications at Ricardo Média, in an email exchange with The Sun.

At the time of the passage of Soleilwe were putting the final touches before the reopening of the Ricardo boutique, on Saturday November 2, 2024.

As of this Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Ricardo boutique will reopen its doors after leaving its original location to move to the second floor of the Galeries de la Capitale.

It is in the neighboring premises of the Simons clothing store that she has set up her home to now welcome her customers.

“We are very happy with this new space, located right next to the Simons store, a popular retailer. We are convinced that this relocation will allow us to benefit from much more attractive traffic. [et] that this new premises connected to mail will allow many people to discover us,” says Ms. Carbonneau.

For the curious, the company’s Facebook page indicates that the wax statue bearing the effigy of Ricardo Larrivee, once planted at the entrance to the Galeries Gourmandes, has been repatriated to the café-boutique in Saint-Lambert, on the Rive -South of Montreal…
