If a few days ago, there was still doubt about the increase in pensions for Agirc-Arrco retirees, this is no longer the case. In fact, the social partners responsible for managing the retirement system have set the percentage which will be applied to the fourteen million members of the supplementary scheme. So, if you receive a pension of €1,500 for example, here is what increase to expect.

Every year, retirement pensions increase, except that in 2025, those of the general system will be delayed by six months. To this end, pensioners of the Agirc-Arrco scheme are concerned about the impact of the pension freeze on the increase planned for next November. One thing is certain, the revaluation of supplementary pension will take place, but with a slight delay. Originally scheduled for 1is November, retirees will receive their transfer on the 4th. Shift of transfer planned for 1is November

The increase in the Agirc-Arrco pension takes place every year on the same date, that is to say the 1is November, unless that day is a holiday or a weekend. If it is true that this year, the 1is falls on a Friday, beneficiaries will have to wait until Monday to receive a transfer into their account. This decision to postpone payment comes from the social partners responsible for managing the supplementary pension system. If a few days ago the amount of the increase was not yet known, the board of directors has already made the rate of the increase official, reports MoneyVox.

How high is the rate of increase?

The latest estimate of theannual inflation excluding tobacco was published on October 10 by INSEE. The price increase serves as the basis for calculating the annual increase in pensions under the supplementary scheme. If the organization recorded a slowdown in previous years, the inflation rate this year should be below 2% (between 1.4 and 1.9%). To favor retirees, the unions want the revaluation to be equal to the increase in prices, but according to information obtained from the board of directors, the rate of increase will be 1.6% and all policyholders will receive a transfer into their account on the agreed date.

What increase for a pension of €1,500?

The accumulation of pensions received per retiree can reach €1,420 net (basic and supplementary pension included). By adding all rights, including survivor’s pension, the average can rise to €1,558 per month. So, if for example, you receive a pension of €1,500, two increases are possible. The first will be 1.6% for the supplementary pension and the second will be determined for Cnav and Carsat. This double increase in pensions concerns thirteen million pensioners and will take place before the end of the year. Thus, for a cumulative retirement or close to the average, the increase will be €8, then €26 in July 2025, the date of the revaluation of basic pensions.

What revaluation for a small retirement?

If you receive a pension of €1,100 for example, you receive from your retirement fund the sum of €1,105 in the month of November. Then, during the revaluation of pensions basic pension planned for July 2025, you will receive from your fund €814 representing your basic pension + €305 corresponding to your supplementary pension.

What increase can you expect for a pension above €1,500?

Case of a pension of €2,500

A retiree who receives a pension greater than €1,500 will be entitled to a more substantial increase. According to the Drees, less than 15% of pensioners receive a gross pension from €2,500 and more. However, if you are in this category, your overall pension in November can reach €2,519 and €2,542 in July 2025.

A small increase

Although the increase is effective, its amount will be lower than in previous years. For the record, it was 5.12% in November 2022 and 4.9% in November 2023. The good news is that it will be higher than in 2021.
