A 27-year-old woman was arrested at Manchester Airport in the United Kingdom after she clumsily revealed to authorities that she was carrying 100 cocaine pills, reports the Daily Mail.

Mother-of-four Larissa Lins landed in Manchester on August 24 from Brazil. His flight had transited through and Portugal.

The woman, who only had a pink bag as luggage, was questioned by customs officers about the reason for her trip. She then claimed that she had come to the United Kingdom to simply walk around and discover “beautiful places”.

She assured that she had packed her bags herself and was not carrying anything illegal. Mme Lins went so far as to offer to show the agents photos of her stay in France that she had on her phone.

It was while seeing the suspect’s travel photos scroll past that customs officers noticed small white pills in certain photos that appeared to contain cocaine.

Larissa Lins was immediately arrested and admitted to authorities that she had cocaine pills hidden inside her body since the day before. She was taken to hospital, where she expelled the tablets. Other cocaine pills were also found in her bra.

In total, 99 tablets were seized, for a total of 923 g of cocaine.

M’s lawyerme Lins says his client had no choice but to try to get through customs with the drug, otherwise “she could have died.”

Although it was recognized that the accused had probably been recruited by traffickers who used threats and intimidation to force the woman to transport the drugs, the judge sentenced the mother to three years in prison.
