At Maxi Bazar, we like to make things in Maxi size. The southern brand specializing in home furnishings which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and has just opened its 100th store in Mougins in a brand new building where it has also installed its head office upstairs.
“2,000 m2 of sales area for the store which has 18,000 references in the home world and around fifteen employees; the headquarters welcomes around fifty employees – IT, supply chain, purchasing, showroom, marketing, RH… – over 1,000 m2”smiles Jean-Marie Pomarès, its CEO since 2022.
This triple celebration was an opportunity to invite suppliers – “with whom Maxi Bazar maintains a special bond”, he insists – the financial partners, the teams and also the shareholders. In this case, Stéphane Pellegrin, the founder of the brand, and the Zouari Family Office – which has, among others, Surgelés Picard and the Stokomani clearance stores in its possession.
Moreover, Moez-Alexandre Zouari took the opportunity to reiterate his support for Maxi Bazar, “A well-known, appreciated brand which has proven itself and which has its roots in the South and which will continue to develop. This is why we are strengthening it with this establishment in Mougins”. And to underline the policy of simplicity and efficiency, of “test and learn”led by Jean-Marie Pomarès, “who was able to carry out this strategy, strengthen the link with suppliers and also manage to get all the teams on board”.
