A new electric SUV for Europe

It is at the Motor Show that the Chinese manufacturer presents this brand new SUV which will soon be on sale alongside the Leapmotor T03 and C10.

Leapmotor, a Chinese manufacturer backed by Stellantis, is tackling the European market with its new B10 compact SUV.
Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, the B10 promises cutting-edge technologies and an affordable price. With more than 200 dealers in Europe and growth ambitions, Leapmotor hopes to establish itself in a saturated market. The partnership with Stellantis will be a key factor in their success.

Leapmotor B10: a rather attractive compact SUV

The Leapmotor B10 is based on the latest LEAP 3.5 platform, and although its exact specifications are not yet known, the manufacturer has announced several attractive features. Future buyers can expect advanced driver assistance systemsa customizable digital cockpit and intelligent connectivity. Two engine options will be offered: a 100% electric version and an extended range version, equipped with a 1.5 liter engine serving as a generator to avoid any range anxiety. This option could attract drivers who are still hesitant to go all-electric. However, the lack of concrete details, particularly on actual range and power, leaves doubts about the B10’s ability to stand out in a segment already saturated by strong rivals.
From an aesthetic point of view, this SUV plays on clean lines, with flush door handles and thin light bars at the front and rear. If this modern design is attractive, it is not revolutionary. The rear is even reminiscent of certain premium models, such as the Porsche , which could well work in its favor with those looking for a distinctive style without breaking the bank.
Price remains a key part of the equation, and while Leapmotor has yet to reveal official pricing, the B10 should be around 30,000 euros. This positioning places it in direct competition with well-established models in the compact SUV segment, a major challenge for a brand that is still little-known on the European market.

Leapmotor and Stellantis – An Unexpected Duo

In a context where Chinese car manufacturers are bursting into Europe at a breakneck pace, Leapmotor is moving forward with a major ally: Stellantis. If the announcement of their partnership surprised more than one person, it could well be the keystone of the Chinese manufacturer’s European strategy. With the presentation of its brand new compact SUV, the B10, at the Porte de , Leapmotor clearly displays its ambitions: to compete with European heavyweights in the electric vehicle segment. The B10 marks a significant milestone in Leapmotor’s aggressive expansion. But despite its characteristics and technology, Leapmotor’s true strength lies in the shadow of Stellar.
Stellantis’ European distribution and service network is important for the Chinese brand, a reality that Tianshu Xin, CEO of Leapmotor, clearly underlined when he described this infrastructure as“unrivaled advantage”. This marriage between Leapmotor and Stellantis poses an interesting question: who really needs who? For Stellantis, this is an opportunity to further diversify its brand portfolio, while Leapmotor benefits from instant access to a well-established dealer and service center network in Europe.
With already more than 200 points of sale spread across 13 European markets, Leapmotor aims to expand this coverage to 500 by 2025. With one model per year planned for the next three years, Leapmotor seems to have a clear vision of its future in Europe .
But the big question remains: Can the B10 stand out enough to capture attention in an increasingly competitive market, or will it blend in with the crowd of electrified compact SUVs?
