In 2017, more than half of the population in sub-Saharan Africa did not have a bank account. And for good reason: the fees are too high, the nearest branch can be miles away, and no one accepts cards. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge exorbitant rates. Parents spend hours queuing to pay school fees in cash.
We solve this problem by creating financial services that work: no account fees, instantly available and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water, and roads don’t always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile application in Senegal for cash deposits and withdrawals, peer-to-peer payments and business payments. Today, we have millions of users in six countries and we are growing rapidly.

Wave is today the largest financial institution in Senegal, with more than 7 million users. And we’re only at the beginning of our product roadmap and our potential impact on people’s daily lives.
We are recruiting Agent Operations Territory Leads to manage product deployment and supervise agents in Kaya, Ouahigouya, Po, Leo, Dedougou and Orodara. You will also represent Wave, oversee our distribution and marketing, interact with users, and ask people about their money transfer and financial services needs and issues.
