A technical incident occurred this Wednesday on a Luxair flight to Manchester, departing from Luxembourg.

According to Luxair, the incident occurred on flight LG4541, which took off from Findel at 11:16 a.m. with a scheduled arrival time of 10:54 a.m. (local time). However, according to Flightradar data, while the aircraft, a Havilland Dash 8-400, was flying over the Namur region, it made a U-turn to return to its departure airport. The airline, in a press release, simply mentions a “technical incident”, without going into further detail.

No risk for crew and passengers

Luxair indicates, however, that the passengers were informed by the captain and the crew and “their safety was at no time put at risk”. “As a precautionary measure and in accordance with regulations, the plane was escorted by the emergency services as soon as it landed in Luxembourg and to its parking space,” specifies the company.

Furthermore, the passengers on board were taken care of, a new flight was organized this Wednesday on a replacement plane. This one has, it seems, already arrived in Manchester, with a total delay of around 2h30.
