Click, order, collect your basket. This is the slogan of Déclic paysan, the “click and collect” platform supported by a collective of farmers from the Grand Châtellerault region.

After a year of maturation of the project, the first orders open Tuesday May 7, 2024. We explain everything to you.

Who is leading the project?

This farmer’s drive is supported by eight farmers from Châtelleraudais, united in an association, Le Déclic paysan. Joining this core group are seven “contributors”, local farmers or artisans who, without being involved in organizing the drive, offer their products every week on the platform.

In total, therefore, the Déclic paysan brings together 15 local producers. “This number may change depending on new requests and consumer needs.summarizes Jean-Luc Baudet, market gardener in Archigny and spokesperson for the group. The goal is both to have a maximum number of referenced products and to avoid the effect of competition between producers. »

Local and seasonal products

So, for example, for vegetables: “We limited ourselves to two market gardeners. But if we see that demand is higher, we will open to a third, etc. »

What products?

The range of products is wide: fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses and dairy products, bakery, pasta, mushrooms, honey, groceries, oil, jars, drinks… It will continue to be filled with more. “We are in contact with a wine producer, another with beer,” specifies Jean-Luc Baudet.

“Organic or not”the products referenced on the Déclic paysan are “from peasant practices, thrifty, autonomous, respectful of the environment and seasonality”. And so they are “manufactured (or processed) locally”. That’s to say “within a radius of thirty kilometers around Châtellerault, up to 70 km for foodstuffs which are not available within the initial perimeter”. “We do not accept any resellers. »

How it works ?

Le Déclic paysan works like any “drive” platform. The customer has access, on declicpaysan.fr, to all the products, their origin, their price, the quantities available, etc.

Once their account has been created, they can, each week (without commitment), create their basket and choose their collection point. Secure payment is made by credit card.

Orders are taken from Tuesday to the following Monday, for collection of the basket between the Thursday and the following Saturday (depending on the collection point chosen by the customer). “The preparations are made at the last moment in order to guarantee the consumer the freshness of the products”explains the group.

Which collection points?

Ten drop-off points are listed in the city, each offering one or two weekly withdrawal slots.

Two of them are located in Châtellerault (La Station on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the Trois-Cheminées breeding farm on Friday evening and Saturday morning). The others are located in Berthegon, Saint-Gervais, Scorbé-Clairvaux, Naintré, Senillé-Saint-Sauveur, Vouneuil-sur-Vienne, La Roche-Posay (1).

What economic model?

Le Déclic paysan has hired a person to manage the platform, communication, etc.

To cover his expenses, he takes a ” small “ commission, the amount of which is left to the discretion of the platform. “We have affordable sales prices for everyone”guarantees the spokesperson.

For this project, the association received aid from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region (€5,400) and another from the Department (€1,800). She also raised €4,000 in crowdfunding.

(1) The collection addresses and times are mentioned on the site.
