This is news that will delight train travelers. From December 16, it will be possible to reach Paris and Berlin by train without any changes. The high-speed connection has been confirmed by SNCF and Deutsche Bahn. The route will make stops at the stations of Strasbourg, Karlsruhe and Frankfurt-South.

What about prices? Tickets will start at €59 one-way in second class and €69 in first class. They will go on sale from October 16 on SNCF Connect and the Deutsche Bahn website. Note that fares will be subject to “yield management”, a pricing system that adjusts the amounts according to the occupancy rate of the trains. The route is currently interrupted due to work on the German rail network but should resume in October.
