empty – The space capsule successfully landed safely in the United States, concluding its mission with an empty trip

It successfully returned to Earth, no doubt causing immense relief for the Boeing teams. The only problem when the capsule arrived at the White Sands space station in New Mexico was that no one got off the Starliner.

Considering the risk too great, NASA had in fact decided to leave astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams in the International Space Station for eight more months.

The Boeing capsule landed gently at the base in the southwest United States. Its descent was slowed by parachutes and cushioned by airbags, for a calm return after a flight of about six hours. How was the trip? It’s hard to say, since no one was on board to evaluate the flight and post a review on Google. We do know, however, that ground crews heard booms as the craft hurtled through the 1,600-degree-C night sky at supersonic speed during its re-entry into the atmosphere.
