French tennis player Alice Tubello filed a complaint in Paris on Friday for cyberbullying by sports bettors, after receiving more than 300 hateful messages after a defeat in Peru in August. Her complaint was also filed for identity theft: a fake Facebook page, now closed, was attributed to her and presented her father as a pedophile.

The 219th world player, aged 23, participated in the tennis tournament in Arequipa, Peru, in August, where she lost to the Peruvian Dana Guzman. This defeat triggered a wave of hatred towards her from sports bettors, she denounced first on her social networks, then in a complaint filed by her lawyers, Robin Binsard and Julien Desmolin, with the Paris prosecutor’s office.
