Sacred in Melbourne, Madison Keys admitted that she did not believe in her chances of winning a big slam, and that's what she did!
But obviously, others believed in her, and Jessica Pegula was part of it. The American had squarely predicted that her compatriot would win the tournament if she managed to reproduce the level she had had during the Adelaide final which had opposed the two women, two weeks ago.
Jessica Pegula told Rennae Stubbs before the tournament:
“If Madison Keys plays half as well as against me during the third set of the Adelaide final, she will win the title. »»
Pegula responded with fun: ” It's true. I told everyone to be honest. »»
-One thing is certain, not everyone would have had as much flair!
