When Nin saw the door open, she cried out.
Jane was there, in the doorway, soaked from head to toe, looking haggard. Her clothes clung to her skin, emphasizing her generous chest, her firm hips and her slender arms. Makeup had run down her cheeks, but Jane didn’t seem to mind. She didn’t say anything. Didn’t move anymore.
With a jump, Nin jumped towards her and dragged her inside the cellar, towards her bed. In a hurry, she did not close the door to her cell. All her attention was focused on her beauty: she sat her down on the mattress, retrieved clean bath towels from the shelf and rubbed her vigorously.
Little by little, the rich heiress seemed to come to her senses, as if waking up from a horrible nightmare. His previously expressionless face then took on the features of despair. By shaking, she was back in the present, in this body that the pain of mourning had filled for all these years. Her gaze fell on Nin, and finally, she burst into tears. She cried loudly. And while the prisoner continued to rub her and whisper soothing words, the door to the golden cage remained wide open.
