In the summary on the back cover of the book by the watercolor artist Pechanne we read: “My only ambition is to take you for a stroll, a poetic stroll through the picturesque streets of this medieval village that I love so much.” Installed with his traveling companion, Jean-Michel Lafitte, in Minerve for almost 20 years, Pechanne, originally from Lauragais, shares in his work, Minerva my lovehis attachment to this medieval city discovered on a windy day, a winter in the 80s. “Living there was a distant dream that became a vital need that the path of life allowed me to realize”underlines Pechanne. “I’ve been thinking about this book for several years, I’ve been working on it for two years and, thanks to the complicity of Aymeric Pech-Mercier for the layout, design and reprography, there you go, it’s done. This work has just been released for the end of year holidays. I dedicate it to all Minerva lovers.”

Published in an edition of 200, it includes 48 pages, 38 watercolors and a few poems in an Italian format. Its particularity is the addition, for each work, of an original watercolor signed by the artist, which can be kept in the book or framed. You can discover this book at the Lafitte-Pechanne art workshop or on order, while waiting to find a wider distribution.
