Saturday afternoon, Jean-Pierre Sueur and Francis Latreille were at the Maison de la presse to sign their Books.
If Jean-Pierre Sueur, former minister and socialist senator from Loiret, had arrived at 3 p.m., Francis Latreille joined him in the middle of the afternoon, after a conference and a signing session at the Gien castle-museum.
“I am happy to come and sign the book in Gien where I have many friends,” smiles Jean-Pierre Sueur. “I was elected from Loiret for forty-two years. I have held various responsibilities. After leaving politics, I asked myself the question of writing a book of memoirs. I preferred to write a novel with a meeting of ten characters who are all nourished by what I experienced. »
A unique day is a novel whose story takes place in a prefecture and talks a lot about local elected officials. The former senator recognizes: “I tried to be objective, to present what could be modified and to show the dedication and values of the local elected officials to whom I would like to pay tribute. »
Francis Latreille came to sign several of his books, which retrace five decades of photos and adventures in the far north or in the world of mammoths and scientists. “The four books presented today were a great success. This beautiful adventure is on display at the castle museum for some time to come. »
