Every weekend, an update on the public's favorite works. This Saturday, who are the big winners of the past year?

It’s time to take stock. If he did not have an easy end to the year, that of Kamel Daoud is, in terms of figures, positive: with 315,000 Houris sold to date, it is a Goncourt in good shape. Ditto for Riad Sattouf and Gaël Faye, two top regulars, who finished the season on the podium. Among the 2024 winners, we also note Albin Michel's double here: Tata by Valérie Perrin and the Ritz Bartender by Philippe Collin bring up the rear and also recall, from the same publisher, the success of Mona's Eyes by Thomas Schlesser (300,000 sales). Other performances should be noted without appearing in this ranking – which focuses, remember, on independent bookstores, and therefore only reflects a certain reality. Thus Jordan Bardella sold some 140,000 copies of his What I'm looking for mainly in supermarkets, just like the queens of romance Morgane Moncomble and Sarah Rivens, whose candy pink or jet black empires partly escape our radars.
