INDISCRETIONS: Save the Tunisian book forum

The Press — The Tunisian Book Forum founded in 2015, as part of the Tunis International Book Fair, is likely to be frozen in 2025. This is a project woven thread by thread, which has brought to the culture Tunisian new ideas. “Academic suitcases”, “The price of high school students and students”, “The invention of the reader”, “The Tunisian database”, “The fair in El Dar” which distributes book baskets signed by the greatest authors to seniors in their homes, so many achievements to preserve and develop.

So please, let’s save the Tunisian Book Forum.

Mehdi Benedetto: micro-mosaic virtuoso

He is one of our most discreet artists. Mehdi Benedetto has taken up the age-old techniques of mosaic with talent and virtuosity. The finesse of his work, the meticulousness of his technique, the sense of color alloys, the preciousness of the stones and marbles used and the originality of his subjects make this mosaicist an artist whose creations transcend borders. His micro-mosaic paintings have been seen in the windows of Hermès, the most prestigious in the Faubourg Saint-Honoré in .

Mehdi Benedetto is exhibiting this Thursday in his workshop in Gammarth.

Stardust

It is on this pretty theme, bright and festive, that Khedija Turki exhibits her creations. She offers to a loyal audience, who follows her attentively, her universe, poetic, luminous, full of brilliance and creativity. In the multitude of exhibitions and Christmas markets that follow one another at this time of year, Khedija Turki stands out for the relevance of her choices, the rigor of her taste, and the exclusivity of her creations. “Stardust” worn by Kdéco shines brightly.

Ephemeral however because they will only shine from December 6 to 12.

Just published

In the collection of works that Malek Labidi devotes to gourmet walks across the country, and after “La table du nord”, Malek Labidi has just published “La table de la Côte”.

Much more than a book on culinary art, it is a work on the preservation of a heritage and the transmission of lifestyles previously only supported by an oral tradition. They are also stories of encounters and discoveries. This is the mission that this passionate and exciting young woman has given herself as soon as she talks about her project. A project initiated by her—a life project, she would say—and supported by the Biat Foundation.

We will come back to this in more detail.

The madness of small sizes

Seeing the world in miniature, this is the challenge that the TGM gallery proposed to a collective of contemporary artists. This Thursday, the gallery walls will be covered with small formats illustrating each person’s world.

And as is often the case, in the approach of this gallery like no other, a collection of old miniatures by Tunisian artists, pioneers and members of the Tunis School will be exhibited.
